Can you fix a water-stained ceiling?
Yes, and it's one of our most common calls. We cut back to dry, sound material, re-board where needed, then tape, mud, feather and sand so the ceiling reads flat again. We also stain-block before paint, because water stains bleed straight through ordinary paint. If the leak is still active we'll tell you to fix that first rather than take your money twice.
Will the repair be invisible after painting?
That's the whole standard we work to. A patch is only truly finished when you can't find it under raking light with the paint on. Feathering wide, sanding properly and matching the surrounding texture is what makes that happen. On a wall with a heavy existing texture we match the texture before priming.
Do you repair plaster as well as drywall?
Yes. Many older homes across Etobicoke, High Park, Leaside and the Beaches have plaster and lath rather than drywall, and it behaves differently. It cracks along different lines and needs a different approach to bonding and bedding. We repair both, and we'll tell you which one you have.
Do you paint after the repair?

How long does drywall repair take?
Most small repairs are a single visit. The limiting factor is drying time between coats of compound, so a repair that needs two or three coats may span two days even though the actual work is a few hours. Larger ceiling repairs and full re-boards take longer. We give you the timeline in the quote.
Do you do small jobs, or only big ones?
We do small jobs. A single hole, one cracked corner, a patch before a condo inspection. Plenty of contractors won't return the call for a job that size. We would rather do it properly and be the people you call when something bigger comes up.
Do you repair drywall after water damage?
Yes, and it's one of the more common reasons people call. Once the source is fixed and the area is properly dry, we cut back any material that's swollen or lost strength, re-board, then tape, mud and sand so the surface reads flat. Patching over drywall that's still damp only delays the problem.
Can you fix cracks that keep coming back?
Usually yes, once we work out why they're returning. Most recurring cracks are movement, not material failure, often at corners, over doorways or along a seam that was never properly taped. Filling the surface again won't hold it. We open it, reinforce it properly and finish it so it stays closed.
