Commercial Painters You Can Trust

Painting that keeps your business open

A clean, well-finished space says a lot about your business, and a tired one says it louder. Famous Pro Painters handles commercial painting across Toronto and the GTA from our base in Etobicoke. We paint offices, retail units, restaurants, condo common areas, warehouses and medical and dental suites. The work that makes a commercial job different isn't the painting, it's everything around it: getting in and out without disrupting staff or customers, protecting floors and fixtures that cost more than the paint job, and finishing on the night we said we would.
We work evenings, overnights and weekends as standard, because that's when most commercial spaces are actually available. We contain and seal the work area so dust and odour stay out of the rest of the floor. We use low-odour, hard-wearing coatings rated for high-traffic commercial use, not builder-grade wall paint that scuffs the first week. And we phase larger jobs floor by floor or suite by suite, so your operation keeps running while the work moves through the building.
A few things we won't do. We won't quote a commercial job off a floor plan, because square footage tells you almost nothing about access, substrate or how many hours you actually get per night. We won't use residential-grade paint on a commercial corridor to make a number look better; it fails in months and you pay twice. And we won't promise a completion date that assumes nothing goes wrong. Every commercial project is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee, finished on schedule and on budget.

Planning & Budget

What affects commercial painting cost

Commercial quotes come down to scale, access and timing, here's what matters most.

Square footage

Total floor, wall and ceiling area is the biggest single driver of any commercial quote.

Height & access

High ceilings, atriums and equipment requirements add time and safety setup.

After-hours work

Evening, overnight and weekend scheduling to avoid downtime can affect the price.

Surface & prep

Condition, repairs and the number of surfaces and colours all factor in.

Coating type

Washable, high-traffic and specialty commercial coatings sit at different price points.

Timeline

Tight turnarounds and phased work to keep you open can influence scheduling and cost.
Because every space and schedule is different, we never quote blind. Every commercial estimate is free, itemized and based on a site walk. The number you see is the number you pay.

Common Questions

Commercial painting FAQs

How much does commercial painting cost?

It depends on the square footage, ceiling height and access, the coatings you need, and whether the work is after-hours. We provide a free, itemized quote after a site walk so the price reflects your actual space and schedule.

Can you work after hours or on weekends?

Yes. Evenings, overnights and weekends are standard for us. Your business keeps running, and your space is ready when you reopen.

How do you minimize disruption to my business?

We schedule around your hours. We contain and protect work areas. And we phase the work where needed, so operations continue with as little interruption as possible.

What types of businesses do you paint?

Offices, retail, restaurants, condos and common areas, warehouses, clinics, schools and more, from a single suite to an entire building.

Do you use durable, washable coatings?

Yes, we use commercial-grade, washable and high-traffic coatings from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams suited to busy environments and easy maintenance.

Are you insured and is your work guaranteed?

Yes. We're fully licensed and insured, and every project is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee plus a written workmanship warranty.

Do you paint outside business hours?

Yes, and for most of our commercial clients that's the default rather than a special request. Evenings, overnights and weekends are normal for us. Retail gets painted after close, restaurants overnight between services, offices on weekends or after six. You tell us the window you can give us and we build the schedule around it.

How much does commercial painting cost in Toronto?

It comes down to area, height, substrate, how many coats the surface needs and how much of the work has to happen outside normal hours. A single office suite and a twelve-storey stairwell are different projects. Every commercial estimate is free, itemized and based on an on-site walk, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

Do you handle condo and property-management work?

Regularly. Lobbies, corridors, stairwells, amenity rooms, underground parking and unit turnovers. We're fully licensed and insured and can provide the certificates most property managers and condo boards require before work starts, and we plan deliveries and access around the building's own rules.

Can you work while staff and customers are in the building?

Often, yes. We contain and seal the work zone, use low-odour products and phase the job so occupied areas stay usable. For anything disruptive, like spraying or floor coatings, we move to after-hours. We'll be straight with you at the quote about which parts can happen around people and which can't.

What surfaces and buildings do you paint?

Drywall, plaster, concrete, block, metal doors and frames, structural steel, ceilings and exterior building envelopes. Offices, retail, restaurants, condo common areas, warehouses, and medical and dental suites across Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Markham, Vaughan and the wider GTA.

How long does a commercial paint job take?

A single suite is usually a night or two. A full floor typically runs a week of evenings. Building-wide corridor and stairwell programs are scheduled in phases over several weeks so no area is ever fully out of service. You get the schedule in writing before we start.

Do you paint warehouses and industrial units?

Yes. Warehouses, workshops, loading bays and industrial units across the GTA. That work usually means block, concrete and structural steel rather than drywall, higher access, and coatings chosen for abrasion and washdown rather than looks. We plan around shift patterns so production keeps moving.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes, and for multi-site brands it matters more than people expect. We colour-match to your brand standards, record the exact formulations, and keep them on file so the next unit you open matches the last one without anybody guessing.

Do you offer maintenance painting programs?

We do. Rather than repainting everything at once, we can put high-traffic areas like corridors, lobbies and washrooms on a rolling cycle. It spreads the cost across budgets and keeps the space looking maintained instead of tired, then suddenly new.

Do you provide certificates of insurance for property managers?

Yes, and we're used to being asked. We're fully licensed and insured and can send a certificate of insurance and WSIB documentation to your property manager or landlord before the job starts. For most commercial and condo work that paperwork is what unlocks the schedule, so we get it over early rather than on the morning we're due on site.

Need your space painted around your schedule?

Tell us about your business and we'll send a free, detailed commercial painting quote, usually within a day or two.
